4 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 pound or 450 grams Lard
1 cup Ice Water (no substitutes)

Mix together the salt and flour in large mixing bowl.
Cut lard into large chunks and place on top of flour.
Using a pastry blender, cut in the fat until it well mixed

Pour 1 cup of ice water over flour mixture.  Using  your

The dough is quite soft, but not wet.  You may
chill in fridge for 10 minutes while making filling.

5 apples, peeled and sliced.
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup sugar.
Toss the apples with the flour, cinnamon, sugar and

seal the ends by crimping with fingers, fork or Birds
Hill Pie Crimper.  Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Place Apple Pie in oven.  Bake for 10 minutes at 450.
